Fudgy Brownies

Fudgy Brownies                                                                    Beatrice Daily Sun, 1966

(preheat oven at 325 degrees)
2 eggs
1 C sugar
1/2 t salt
1 t vanilla
1/3 cup + 1/2 T butter
3 1/2 T cocoa
3/4 C flour
1/2 C chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter in the microwave, add cocoa, and whisk until smooth.
Beat eggs slightly.
Stir in sugar and vanilla, then chocolate and butter.
Stir in flour and then nuts. Don't beat at any time.
Bake 30 - 35 minutes in a greased 8" or 9" square pan.
