Carrot Cake

Carrot Cake                                    Alta Sharp

Cream together:
2 C. sugar
1 C. oil

Add 4 eggs, one at a time
Beat well after each.

Sift together and add, beating well:
2 C. flour
2 t. soda
2 t. baking powder
2 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt 

Add:
1/2 C. black walnuts (must use)
3 1/2 C. grated carrots 

Bake 350 degrees, 45-50 minutes.

Icing
1/2 stick butter
1 large package cream cheese
1 t. vanilla 
Add enough powdered sugar to the right spreading
consistency.  About 1 box.
